Our u13 Football League got underway on Tuesday as we played Athgarvan in the first round in Rheban pitch. We are very fortunate in Kilberry N.S. to have a hugely supportive club nearby that allows our school access to their pitch and facilities for our home games. We are very appreciative of the support we receive.

Our u13’s team put in a tremendous team performance to run out one point victors over a strong and determined Athgarvan side. The game came right down to the wire as Athgarvan kept the pressure on but some excellent saves from goalkeeper, TJ Moran, combined with our strong and determined backline, our experienced mid fielders and forward line ensured victory in the end. Well done to all!

The team now play Scoil Mhicil Naofa in the next round.

Well done to Ms. Carter’s First and Second class for leading our Thursday assembly. Ms. Carter spoke about Feet First Friday and announced the winners of the Green School’s Poster Competition.

New Kindness ambassadors were chosen by each class teacher and well done to all who achieved this special award. Congratulations Jack, Jessica, Luke, Ciara, Simon, Lauren, Hannah and Lee.

To celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge and St. Patrick’s Day, each class participated in a spirited damhsa gaelach as the Walls of Limerick was performed, with our Senior pupils partnering Junior and Senior Infants….Luascadh!!

A huge congratulations to Mrs. McLernon’s Fifth and Sixth Class students on their winning entries in the Community Games Art Competition. We are extremely proud of our budding artists as many of our pupils placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the competition. Well done everyone!
