Lights, Camera…..Christmas!!
This year’s Christmas Concert was a wonderful spectacle of festive fun. From the smallest to the tallest every child played their part superbly. Parents, Grandparents and friends were treated to a two hour show which began with the Infants production of The Christmas Story which featured memorable songs such as Knock, Knock, A Long way to Go and we all quickly learned that when Ceasar says Go….WE GO!!
First and Second Class had a tough act to follow but they certainly got the crowd going with their Beatles Inspired Play. Santa’s elves picked the worst possible moment to go on strike but never fear just as all hope was lost the Minions and Santa’s Spy elves were on hand to save the day!
After the interval, Third and Fourth Class discovered the true meaning of to ‘Love Your Neighbour’ in their production of Straw and Order. Poor Judge Grumps had the unenviable task of putting order on the donkeys and the cows that threatened the true meaning of Christmas.
The final act of the concert was the Fifth and Sixth Class production of X-Mas Factor where God held open auditions for the parts of Mary, Joseph, the angels, the shepherds and the Wise Men. KIng Herod was none too happy when he discovered the part of the King of Kings was going to…. A BABY!
The entire cast came together at the end to sing us out with a medley of Christmas Songs such as Silent Night, Away in a Manger, and our favourite Jingle Bells.
Many thanks to the Parents Council for holding the raffle during the interval and to all who donated prizes. As always, it is greatly appreciated.
