First Holy Communion

Posted on 24th May 2015 in Uncategorized

Congratulations to Skye Maher, Amy Walsh, Charley Johnson, Erin Bartley, Nathan Coughlan, David Lawlor, Paidí Kelly, Conor Mulhall, Simon Webb, James mcEvoy, Eoin Delaney and Cameron Day on receiving the sacrament of First Holy Communion yesterday.
It was a wonderful occasion and we were very proud of all our children, each of whom had a special job to do during the ceremony. A very special thank you goes to Mrs. Pendergast for having the children so well prepared for their special day, and to all the parents for their support and encouragement throughout the year.
We wish each and every family a wonderful weekend and look forward to our children’s Communion Mass on Monday at 7pm in the school.

Posted on 9th May 2015 in Uncategorized

‘Comhghairdeas’ and well done to all the children who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol U10 Football League this year. The children represented Kilberry N.S. wonderfully and enjoyed playing the children from our local schools. This year we played Kildangan N.S., Churchtown N.S. and Grange N.S. The league was played in a great spirit of friendship and co-operation and as always we would like to thank Tom Moran for the work he does with all the school football teams.

Congratulations and well done to all who participated in the Kilberry N.S. walk. The walk took place on Sunday, 26th April in Emo Court and we were blessed with some beautiful weather on the day. The children arrived in fancy dress for the occasion which added some colour and fun to the 5K walk. Congratulations to Caoimhín O’Shaughnessy and Shauna Costello who won ‘Best Costume’ on the day, kindly sponsored by the Parent’s Council. A huge thank you to the Parent’s Council for organising the walk on behalf of the school and to all who sponsored the children. The generosity of everyone is greatly appreciated.
